A MOTHERS FAITH AND FORGIVENESS

I want to tell you a true story that happened to my family many years ago.
My Mother was a devout Christian Woman who devoted her whole life to Jesus. She was a head cook and worked full time at an Elementary School near Flint Michigan. My Mother also did all the cooking for all church functions and when she went on vacation she went to a Church camp and cooked for the camp. On top of that she helped raise 3 boys, cleaned house and you guessed it, she cooked at home too.

Back when I was about 15 or 16 years old my baby brother was about 9 or 10 years old. My baby brother Tim had a bicycle and he liked to ride his bike around the block and look around to see who he could see.

And one day my Mother, Dad and I were standing out in the yard doing something when all of a sudden this neighbor kid came running into the yard panting all out of breath and when he could finally get the words out what he said was that: ‘Tim was hit by a milk truck over on Arlene St.’ Arlene St. was a block over from our street. The boy pointed and said it was about a block and a half down and a block over and the boy told us that Tim and his bicycle were still twisted and pinned under the milk truck.

My Mother began sobbing and praying and immediately was on a dead run out the gate. My Father yelled back at me to stay home and keep an eye on my middle brother who was in the house at that time. My Father ran and got in the car and peeled out headed down the street in the direction where the neighbor boy pointed.

(Now keep in mind, I was NOT there but I have heard this from several different sources) that when my Father got there my Mother was already there and on her knees in the ditch. BUT my Mother was NOT alone beside her in the ditch was the driver of the milk truck and he was on his knees praying also.

This was going on while the Police and the Ambulance people were trying to figure out how to get Tim extricated from under the milk truck as he was twisted with his bicycle up into the engine compartment of the truck.

And keep in mind My Mother was in the ditch praying beside the man who had just run over her precious baby boy.

They finally jacked up the milk truck and got my Brother and his mangled bicycle from under the milk truck and rushed him to the hospital. Someone called my Mothers church and they called other members and several went to the hospital and Tim had a lot of people praying for him that evening and for the next several days.

My Mother stayed with Tim until they asked her to leave and then they threatened to have her arrested if she didn’t leave the hospital. My Mother being resourceful talked to a black security guard and explained that it was her baby lying in a hospital bed up on the 3rd floor and for all she knew he could be dying. And she didn’t know if he would be alive in the morning or not and she begged him with tears streaming down her face to sneak her back into the hospital so she could stay with her little boy.

The security guard took pity on my Mother and snuck her into the hospital and up to the 3rd floor. She ended up staying 3 days and 3 nights with my Brother. She ended up telling the security guard that SHE was going to go to his room no matter what anyone told her and they would have to arrest her to keep her away from her little boy.

Tim had serious head trauma and his body would not keep a normal temperature as it would go really high and they would have to ice him down and that was the main reason he was in the hospital for a week and a half.

The milk company offered to pay all the hospital bills and anything related to the accident and they even bought Tim a new bicycle.

It was several weeks after the accident and my Mother got a letter from the milk company telling her they were sorry for the accident and their investigation found the driver at fault and they released (or fired) the driver.

My Mother called up the milk company and got a hold of the person in charge and told him, NO you are not going to fire that driver. You are going to put him back to work and you are going to clear his record of any wrong doing in relationship to this accident. They were so afraid that my Mother would sue them they did as she demanded and rehired the driver and cleared his record in regards to this accident.

I pray that I could have just an ounce of that faith and forgiveness that my Mother had. My Mother was a true living example of what it meant to be a Christian, she never spoke ill of anyone, she never talked bad about anyone, she never spread rumors as she knew they could easily end up being lies. My Mother was faithful and true to her family and her God and God always came first.

I once asked my Mother why they didn’t sue the milk company. What she told me was, it was not their fault and besides it’s not Christian like to sue someone, besides they did pay all of Tim’s medical bills and the sent Tim a check for $100 for him to buy any kind of bicycle he wanted. WOW where are those kinds of Christians today?

I pray one day to see my Mother again in Heaven, that is my prayer.

My Baby Brother Timothy Lamb in 2012 at 49 years old had a stroke and passed away.
When Tim was only 3 years old my Mother was visiting a neighbor lady and they heard someone pecking out tunes on a toy piano in the yard and when they looked it was Tim.

By the time Tim was 5 years old he had his first guitar and he learned to play guitar and he became a professional guitar player. Tim played local shows and he played some blues concerts and he also played on cruise ships all over the world.

Tim was widely respected by other blues singers and musicians alike.
My Brother Tim was the BEST guitar player I have ever heard.
I have seen him do shows where he would play a guitar behind his back and even with his teeth, he was a true showman when it came to entertaining people.

But sadly, his wife passed away a few years before him and so Tim’s children were adopted by her family.
And my Brother Tim’s music career abruptly ended.
I Love you and miss you every single day Tim!

And right now, today, what we say, and what we do, in these last days is more important than you could ever imagine.

Today is the day to repent, pray and to pick up your cross and follow Jesus, because without Jesus there is NO Hope and NO Salvation.

Jesus is coming for his Bride soon, PLEASE do not find your lamps without oil and locked out.

Mark 8: 38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation: of him also shall the Son of Man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

We are that Adulterous and Sinful Generation that Jesus spoke about in Mark 8: 38

We are in the last days, and a storm is coming, get your house in order and be in prayer and watching for that blessed hope the Great Catching away of the faithful. Time is Short.

Remember: God is in control. I pray that we all be Pleasing to God as Enoch was pleasing to God (for God took him).

That is my prayer for all of us.

God Bless you and God keep you and yours in these troubled times.

WHAT WE SAY AND WHAT WE DO IN THESE LAST DAYS IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE.

God Bless you and God keep you and yours!
